This listing is for
3 of the rubber convertible top pump mounting feet
, they will work on most american cars that have
3 pointed rubber mounting feet
. The rubber grommets are made just like the original and will fit perfectly. If your car has 4 mounting feet we also have a listing that has 4 of the grommets as well. This set of mounting feet also is correct for the motor mounting bracket on the
1971-1976 full size GM 'scissor top' convertible cars
.
Installation instructions
The mounting feet can be a bit of a pain to install, here is the best way we have found to install them. First spray the pointed end with some silicone spray, dish soap or use a small amount of oil. On the top side of the grommet there is a hole that goes part of the way through, use a small rod (like a phillips screwdriver but not sharp on the end!) and insert it into the hole. Place the grommet over the hole on the motor mount and push the rod down, this will stretch out the rubber and it will pop into place, you can use the same process to mount the pump into the car when you have all of the mounting feet installed. You want a rod slightly smaller than the hole so the rubber can stretch, don't use anything sharp and don't push too hard as you can rip the rubber
If you have any questions
feel free to contact us by clicking on the 'Ask A Question' link in this listing
and we will do our best to help you out.
